Why does cinnamon get slime in water
I have had it when doing pickled beets and eggs for Easter. I agree with pfshine, filter it through a paper towel or coffer filter. Cimmamon will sometimes slime tea, it will not hurt you, it is just too much like the above mentioned body fluids.
I was suffering from a nasty head cold and it is very possible something may have dripped into the jar and pfshine, I would hope the cinnamon would be a gentleman and tell me before it did that. Powdered cinnamon did the same. So you need to steep it not boil it.
