I have assumed that at some point in the last 5 or so years Puma stopped using the date code. The Puma website shows maybe 1, knives? They show the "Puma Original Bowie" note change of word order knife but they are now given the number , and are not marked "Pumaster Steel". I think they stopped using Pumaster Steel quite a few years ago.
You might also be able to tell the manufacture date of your knife from a three-digit code. Likewise, date stamps indicate that the knife was made in the second half of that year.
