Prior to the bankruptcy filing, a group of fans and restaurateurs launched a crowdfunding campaign to save Casa Bonita. Organizer, Andrew Novick, has visited Casa Bonita more than times and he says he simply wants to keep it alive. He said the group is exploring various options considering the current financial state of the restaurant.

He says the money could even be used to put together an acquisition deal. Now Casa Bonita needs outside investment and a cash flow once again to save itself.
